Cicim (pron. Jijim) is a supplementary weft technique that lends itself to complex or sporadic decoration. Here is a superb example of the great art of Anatolian weaving. Close in or stepping back the pattern is full of movement and fascination. Woven 2nd quarter 20thC. 100% hand spun wool.

A good quality underlay will keep it steady and make it softer under foot.
