Almar is a village near Maimaneh in the north of Afghanistan. Their kilim weaving displays diamonds and strong colours. The weave is robust and hard wearing. This example is a sturdily woven floor covering. Suitable for a living area and, being long, it may suite a large hall or living room, or could be an impressive wall hanging.
